Visitors Business

In the recent budget announcement by the Honorable Attorney General, Australian, New Zealanders, US and Singapore nationals are eligible for business visa on arrival for 21 days.

A Visitors Business Permit allows foreign nationals to undertake business, investment, study, research, consultancy, or work related activities for up to 21 days in Fiji.

Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and United States of America Nationals


1. Permit on Arrival - Business Visitors Permit given on arrival for 21 days, (do not require prior approval).

2. Allowed Activities - A Business Visitors permit allows foreign nationals to undertake business, study, research, consultancy, or work-related activities in Fiji for 21 days

3. Extension - Any extension to the 21 days Business Visitors permit, will require a Short-Term Work to be applied prior to the expiry of the Visitors Business Permit, with an applicable fee.

4. After 21 days - Working beyond the 21 days without transitioning to a Short-Term Work permit, may result in removal and denied future entry to Fiji.


Nationals of Other Countries


1. Prior approval - required to enter on the Business Visitor Permit

2. Procedures to obtain prior approval

a. Requests from the employer / organisation in Fiji are to be sent to with the following information:

i. Invitation from the organisation in Fiji.

ii. Name, date of birth and passport number of the person arriving;

iii. The role the person will be undertaking in the organisation;

iv. The intended length of stay;

v. Name and Contact of organisation representative; and

vi. Bio Data page of applicants passport

b. A response will be provided within 2 to 24 hours.

c. The person travelling is required to carry a copy of the approval letter and present it on arrival. In addition, the person must declare “Business” on arrival when entering Fiji.

d. Travellers may be denied entry into Fiji if the approval letter is not presented.

3. Extension - Any extension to the 21 days Business Visitors permit, will require a Short-Term Work to be applied prior to the expiry of the Visitors Business Permit, with an applicable fee.

4. After 21 days - Working beyond the 21 days without transitioning to a Short-Term Work permit, may result in removal and denied future entry to Fiji.
